Hello and welcome to Talk magazine.
I’m Amanda Ryan, bpha’s Money Advice Manager. I work with a team of advisers who offer free, impartial money advice to help review and look to improve financial management. We’re able to help with income maximisation, which might be via benefits you’re entitled to, and debt management. In this edition of Talk, you can link to a new Universal Credit Helper, a quick and easy way to check if you’re eligible (and better off) and start the application process. And bpha customer Jenny tells how the Money Advice Team helped adjust her income, following a change in her health.
In the next week or so, you will receive a letter confirming your rent and service charges that will apply from 1 April. With the cost of living still high, I know any change can be worrying. Your letter will include how to contact the team with any specific queries, plus how to contact the Money Advice service for advice if you need it. You can also get in touch with us here.
Take care and please remember, if you do want some advice around your finances, we’re here to help.
