Keeping you safe and comfortable in your home
Every five years we check the condition of your home. We do this to make sure it is safe, modern and maintained to the highest possible standard.
If you’ve had a letter from us to say your home is due for a survey, please make an appointment with us as soon as possible. You can use Live Chat on our website or phone our Customer Communications Centre on 0330 100 0272.
The survey benefits
As part of the survey, the condition of key elements of your home are checked such as the kitchen, bathroom, windows and doors.
Our surveyor also checks that your heating systems and electrics are working properly and are safe to use. This information helps us to decide whether anything needs replacing. We’ll also pick up on any repairs that need doing. By letting us survey your home, you can feel reassured that you’re helping us to make your home safe, energy efficient, modern and functioning as it should.
We respect your privacy
Our surveyor will only want to check the key elements of your home. They won’t need to go into other rooms or be concerned with the tidiness of your home. Our surveyors are professionals who’ll respect your privacy.
It doesn’t take long
The survey takes around 20-30 minutes. Our surveyor may take some photos in your home and ask you a couple of questions.
Your safety is our priority
To keep everyone safe, our surveyor will wear a mask and any other appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Social distancing will be maintained throughout the visit. The surveyor will carry a photo ID card that they will show you when they arrive.
If you think your home is due a survey but you haven’t had a letter, please bear with us as we continue to catch up from delays caused by the pandemic.
You can make an appointment now if you’ve had a letter.
