Keeping safe during lockdown

Lockdown is hard for all of us, yet for those sharing their home with an abusive partner or family member it is bound to be increasingly emotional, physically dangerous and traumatic.

Lockdown is hard for all of us, yet for those sharing their home with an abusive partner or family member it is bound to be increasingly emotional, physically dangerous and traumatic.

We’re extremely aware of the challenges some of our residents are facing and are doing all we can to offer support. We’ve updated our website homepage to include useful information about some of the support available. Visit www.bpha.org.uk/domestic-abuse to find out more.

If you’re concerned about a friend, neighbour or family member and it’s safe to do so please reach out to them, check in with them and offer your support. Lockdown might be incredibly isolating and your kindness may well help them open up and seek support.
