Meet Ben Pecorini

Ben is a Housing Officer for the St Neots area and once a month, hosts a drop in at Loves Farm.

“Coming to the drop-in is a great opportunity to ask questions you have about any aspect of your tenancy, or to raise any concerns."

“I’ll be able to answer most of your questions and if I can’t, I’ll know who can and will follow that up for you, or point you in the right direction. My experiences of dealing with anti-social behaviour and neighbourhood conflict as a Police Officer mean I’m comfortable talking about those situations and getting you the right support.

“I’ll often have other teams from bpha supporting me at the drop-in. The services I invite along depend on what you’re telling me you’d like to hear more about – it could the Money Advice service or Community Engagement Team, for example.

“You can just come to say hello too! I’m still meeting new faces all the time and would love you to pop by. There’s a fantastic café at Loves Farm when I’m there, run by local volunteers, which serves some amazing Korean treats. There’s also a nice space for young children to play in while we chat, so it’s fine to have little ones with you.”

First Tuesday of every month

9.30am to 12noon

Loves Farm House, Kester Way, St Neots, PE19 6SL.

About Ben

“I’ve been at bpha for almost a year now. I spent nine years as a Police Officer before moving into another field entirely – but I missed meeting and helping people, and solving problems. I get to do a lot of that again as a Housing Officer and really enjoy connecting with the communities in St Neots.

“Outside of work I enjoy family time and football. I support both Manchester United and MK Dons and play for a local team that was set up to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of men, which is important to me. So, if you don’t have a housing-related question for me at the drop-in, I’m always happy to have a football chat!”

Ben’s top tip

“I have a lot of conversations with customers about the misuse of bin stores. To make it easier when contacting your Housing Officer or bpha’s Customer Communications Centre, always take photos and pass those on, along with any dates and times. It makes it easier to identify issues and follow up.”
