“The Housing Officer has given me a new life”

One in four women will be a victim of domestic abuse in their lifetime. This high number means domestic abuse against men can be thought of as much less common. In reality, the figure for men is one in seven, so still very high.

We wanted to bring you Mr S’s story, a customer who is now living safely, free from the abuse he experienced from his female former partner.

Mr S is now living in his new home, in a new town.

“The Housing Officer has given me a new life. Without her I would not have been able to get away and I didn’t think that anyone would believe me, but they did and I want to thank them so much.”
