Customer Domestic Abuse Policy
bpha recognises the need to improve the way domestic abuse incidents are identified, reported and responded to. To do this we have reviewed and updated our Customer Domestic Abuse Policy alongside victims and survivors of Domestic Abuse. This updated policy adopts a number of new key standards taking into consideration feedback from customers. These key updates are designed to support people experiencing domestic abuse.
We understand there are cultural and other barriers to reporting domestic abuse and we’ll take all of this into account in the support we provide. We will recognise that the different types of discrimination you may face can cause multiple disadvantages. We will consider the individual needs of each customer in our approach.
bpha Domestic Abuse Lead, Helena Pountney said: “bpha is committed to providing a safe space for all victims and survivors of domestic abuse. We want all customers to have the confidence to approach us knowing we have the understanding, experience and skills to help you.
“If you are or have experienced domestic abuse, please don’t suffer in silence, start the conversation today and have confidence you made the right choice.”
