Set up your Direct Debit payment online at my.account

A Direct Debit is a convenient, automatic way of paying that ensures you don't miss regular payments.

To set a Direct Debit is now even easier – there’s no need to call in, you can do it in your own time, when it suits you, using my.account.

How does it work?

A Direct Debit is an instruction from you to your bank or building society that gives bpha permission to collect scheduled payments from your account – but only if you’ve been given advance notice of the amounts and dates of collection.

All Direct Debit payments are protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee. This protects customers in case of error, like money being collected on the wrong day or the wrong amount being taken – your bank or building society take responsibility for refunding the money.

How do I set up a Direct Debit?

  • Just log-in or register at bpha.org.uk/my-account
  • Click on ‘make a payment’
  • Click on ‘set up a Direct Debit’ – you’ll see more information about Direct Debits and the Direct Debit Guarantee
  • Complete a short form.

And that’s it! You’ll receive a letter confirming how much you will be paying, on what date – and the date of your first payment. A Direct Debit can take several weeks to set up, so you may need to make your usual rent payment during that time.

Also on my.account: Request a repair, update your personal information, view your rent statement, add/remove household members – and lots more.
